On Monday, Year 3 and Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day out at Hever Castle. We began our visit with a private tour of the castle where we learnt about its history, previous owners and the purpose various rooms served during the reign of King Henry VIII. There were just so many fascinating things to see inside. Highlights included the Tudor portraits in the Long Gallery and the prayer books which belonged to Anne Boleyn and Thomas Cromwell.
After our tour and a spot of lunch, we headed over to the water maze which proved to be the perfect way to cool down on a sweltering hot day! The day was finished off with a brief visit to the gift shop and adventure playground.
We all had a fantastic time and even managed to impress the tour guides with our extensive knowledge of the Tudor diet!
