ISA U11s  – National Football Qualifiers!

On Friday 26th September, our ISA Under 11 squad travelled to East Grinstead (Lingfield) for the National Competition, aiming to secure a place in the top four and qualify for the National Finals at St George’s Park in March the home of English football.

This year, it wasn’t just the boys representing us, A.P. proudly took her place in the team, showing once again the strength of our mixed football pathway.

Group Stage Results:
        •       Benedict House – Won 2-1
        •       Oakfield – Won 3-1
        •       Russell House – Drew 2-2
        •       Breaside – Lost 0-1

These results placed us second in our group.

Knockout Stages:
        •       Last 16 – Oakhurst Grange – Won 2-0 (goals from Teddy Barrett & A.P.)
        •       Quarter-Final – Lingfield – Won 1-0 (goal from Teddy Barrett)
        •       Semi-Final – The Mead – Lost 0-2 (but qualification already secured!)
        •       3rd/4th Playoff – Oakfield – Won 2-1 (goals from Liam & Rowland)

The team’s determination, resilience, and togetherness shone through, and by reaching the semi-finals we secured our place at St George’s Park in March.

The excitement and buzz at the end was incredible, the children couldn’t believe they’d done it, and neither could we!
