Although we were unable to enjoy our Foundation Stage Assembly, Sports Day and the Summer Fair as planned, we were still able to celebrate our special school feast day – The Feast of Sacred Heart.

We came together for a whole school liturgy to learn about this important feast day in the Church’s liturgical calendar. We heard that the physical heart of Jesus and the wound it received when Jesus was dying on the cross symbolise his divine love for humanity – his heart literally burns with love for us all!

The children enjoyed ice lollies at playtime and then a whole school picnic in the Priest’s House garden under the shade of the apple trees! It was lovely to see so many smiles on the faces of the children and staff who are delighted to be back together in school. A fitting tribute to the love we all have for each other as one big ‘Sacred Heart family’.
