Together with Year 3, Year 4 went on a school trip to Great Dixter this Tuesday. We explored the beautiful grounds of the house and the children then had the opportunity to sketch a variety of flowers from the garden. After this, the children copied their designs onto polystyrene tiles for printing and the finished work was beautiful! After a spot of lunch, the children headed into the woods where they had the chance to whittle some wood to make charcoal. The children also had great fun making dens and really enjoyed working together as a team. We all agreed that it was a fantastic day out!
