The whole school celebrated Mental Health week starting with a 'Dress to Express' organised by the School Council to raise money for rainbow friendship benches. They also chose the song 'Happy' for a whole school dance at break time led by Mrs Rainbow. They designed amazing posters to promote our message - Growing Together. Oscar Hughes' poster was used as part of key stage assemblies and we put sensory calming actions to it! KS2, KS1 and Foundation Stage had an assembly with Mrs Griffiths (SENDCO). Children learned about Growing Together and tried the sensory calming actions finished by a dance about the Positivity Tree. They all tried so hard and had some amazing dance moves! A special thank you to Monday Wellbeing Group and the children who led the dance routine in KS2. We have all learned a lot about ourselves Growing Together.
