It seems appropriate that the phased return to school coincided withthe Feast of Pentecost. Like the disciples, we have all been in lockdown, living restricted lives; at times fearful, at others despondent. The Holy Spirit has been evident this week in the courage and joy of the returners and in the understanding and perseverance of the home learners. It is calmer and more peaceful here than we are used to! Let’s remember that it is the people that make the school; we are not defined by the buildings. Together we are Sacred Heart School and one day, together again in person we will be.

Reception

We have returned to school in our own special bubble, so the theme this week in Reception has been Bubbles. We have been learning that if we have fun and play in our bubble then we can stay safe together. In Maths we have been adding bubble bonds to 10 and for our writing we had some inspiration from the book 'Bubble Trouble'. We have been lucky to spend time learning and exploring outdoors and we went on a hunt to find nature objects in nature to match our colours.
