Children throughout the school very much enjoyed all the celebrations for World Book Day on Tuesday, including the book swap and the parade at play time. In some classes, they wrote 'pen portraits', whilst others read favourite stories.

Children in Year One visited older members of our community and had a lovely morning sharing books with them. Each child has received a book token to the value of £1 which they can exchange for a World Book Day Book for free, or they can use it towards a book of their choice.

Many thanks to the parents for their donations towards Book Aid International which we support annually. The sum of £181.90 has been raised to support those children around the world who have little or no access to books.
