On Tuesday the whole school put their Maths hats on to take part in a challenging and exciting Maths Day. They all joined in with great enthusiasm, working intently on a great number of varied tasks such as arranging tiles to fill rectangles and squares, weighing frogs to find a secret name, constructing differently shaped buildings using large wooden blocks, flowing complicated instructions and eliminating possibilities to solve a post box problem and many more. The problems covered a wide range of mathematical topics. There was a real buzz in the hall throughout the day with the children totally engrossed in their activities. Teachers and students alike agreed that the sessions seemed far too short!
