Year 5 have been learning all about Shakespeare and have been writing their own scripts for an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth. They created storyboards of the main scenes and then worked together in groups to write their own scripts and stage directions. Many children made their own props and then brought in extra props and costumes from home for the final performances on Thursday afternoon. All the groups performed really well and showed an excellent understanding of the plays and how to work together to write play scripts. A special thank you to Monty in Year 5 who had to perform at the last minute in two of the plays due to the absence of one of the main characters!
