On 14th May we hosted our annual Spring Music concerts!
We had over 43 children performing a variety of solos, duets, trios and chamber works. The wide array of instruments on offer at Sacred Heart was on show with some very impressive performances on piano, voice, recorder, clarinet, flute, guitar, cornet, trumpet, trombone and violin.
The combined Sacred Heart Orchestra and Choir performed Mrs Barstow’s original and mystic composition, Laotian Dawn, with its evocation of birds, chirruping insects, Buddhist monks, gentle rainfall and children singing. The annual Spring and Autumn concerts offer the children an excellent opportunity to grow and develop their musicianship and the progress is very clear to see and hear.
Congratulations to all our talented performers! Keep going!
Thank you to our brilliant and hardworking peripatetic music teachers who work so hard to bring music to as many children as possible at Sacred Heart. If you are interested in your child taking music lessons at school, please contact our head of music, Mrs Wibberley, to discuss. She is always keen to help!
