The whole school took part in learning about and celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day with a lovely assembly, activities and crafts throughout the day.
Y6 Visit Wadhurst Manor Care Home
Our Y6 children visited Wadhurst Place Care Home to take part in their VE Day celebrations. They sang songs, engaged in lovely conversations with the residents, and enjoyed some delicious afternoon tea and cake.
We are incredibly proud of how they conducted themselves with such maturity, warmth, and thoughtfulness throughout the afternoon. It was clear that they made a truly positive impression on both the residents and staff alike. They really were excellent ambassadors for Sacred Heart School!
VE Day Ceremony at the Wadhurst Memorial
On Thursday 8th May, Bea (Y6), Arthur (Y5), SophieAnn (Y4) and Blaise (Y3) joined the local community in laying a wreath at the Wadhurst Memorial to mark 80 years since VE Day. They represented the school with great respect, and we were proud of the way they took part in this important occasion.
