On Friday 11th March, we travelled to St George's Park (home of the FA in Burton on Trent) for the ISA 5-a-side football finals.
TEAM: Jack (Y5), Michael (Y6), Oscar (Y6), Baxter (Y6), Rupert (Y6), Felix H (Y6) and Charlie (Y6)
The teams were split into 4 leagues where they played everyone in their league
RESULTS:
Scarisbrick Hall 1-0 (won)
Finsborough 0-3 (lost)
Waverley 2-0 (won)
Crackley Hall 1-1 (drew)
Gatehouse 0-1 (lost)
After our morning matches we qualified for the Plate Competition drawing one and losing two.
RESULTS: Alleyn Court 1-1 (drew) Littlegarth 2-4 (lost) Gateway 2-3 (lost)
The boys played their hearts out during a long and tiring day. They all displayed a fantastic attitude and work ethic throughout the day and even came back from 4-0 down at half time to 2-4.
So, Sacred Heart now sit within the top sixteen in the country which for a small school is amazing achievement! This is a first for the school.
