Children in Reception have been busy celebrating Chinese New Year. We have enjoyed learning about the story of The Great Race and have made tigers to mark this year. This week we have done lots of creating: making lanterns and red envelopes using the main colour red, as it brings good luck. We have also had some tricky challenges, writing Chinese numbers and using chopsticks to eat noodles. After reading 'The Magic Paintbrush’, we used our paintbrushes to paint some beautiful blossom trees.
