Year 5 have been busy catching up on practical science activities this week for their topic about Living Things and Life Cycles. First, they dissected flowers and identified all the different parts of the flower including the male and female parts. Then they each took a cutting of a germanium and planted it in their own seed pot. Over the next few weeks, we will see how many of these grow into new plants. Finally, they have also planted potatoes, and we are all hoping for a bumper crop this year!
