In the Autumn Term Year 5 held a cake sale and, thanks to some delicious cakes made by the children and parents, they managed to raise £102. The class decided that they would like to use the money to help people in need, and they all agreed that CAFOD World Gifts would be a great way to use the money. They thought carefully and examined each of the possible gifts and then they voted to decide how they would spend the money.

In the end they decided to use the funds raised to: -
1. Help someone to learn how to read
2. Help a Llama farmer
3. Buy some chickens
4. Provide water for a family
5. Buy some drought resistant crops

CAFOD has now sent an explanation of how the money has been used and Year 5 are delighted that they have been able to help so many people by raising money from their cake sale.
