Everyone at Sacred Heart School really entered into the spirit of World Book Day at last, with pupils arriving in an array of fabulous costumes.
After break, boys and girls in Year 6 listened to children in Nursery and Reception read and shared stories with them. There was also an opportunity for the teachers to move around the different classes to read stories before lunchtime.
In the afternoon, in Key Stages 1 and 2 the children were able to take part in a book swap. All-in-all the day was enjoyed by everyone, staff and pupils alike. It reminded us of our love of reading and books and raised money for Book Aid International so that those who are less fortunate than ourselves can share this love with us.
