On Thursday Years 3 and 4 went to Riverhill Himalayan Gardens. We had the most fantastic weather and spent a lot of the day outside exploring the beautiful grounds, looking at the sculptures dotted around the park and tackling the maze that has been built in the grounds. Everyone found the middle...eventually! All the children took part in a workshop to design and construct a marble maze and they were all engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the activity. The maze at the gardens was designed by Adrian Fisher and the children learnt about his work and used this as the inspiration for their mazes. We were lucky enough to have the owner of the house take us around the gardens and introduce the children to some of her animals including her ponies, chickens and Troy, the Labrador.
